Gaza Sky Geeks was founded in 2011 by Mercy Corps with initial support from Google for startups, operating in both Gaza and the West Bank, GSG empowers young Palestinian individuals and tech companies by equipping them with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in the global digital economy. Through training, mentorship, and support, GSG fosters innovation, economic resilience, and sustainable growth.

About Mercy Corps

Mercy Corps is a global humanitarian and development organization that has worked in Palestine since 1986. Through programs in emergency relief, water and sanitation, economic development, and youth empowerment, it supports communities across the West Bank and Gaza. In Gaza, Mercy Corps provides humanitarian assistance, clean water, and livelihood support, while in the West Bank it focuses on economic opportunities and workforce development. The organization also established Gaza Sky Geeks,a leading technology hub that empowers Palestinian talent, freelancers, and companies by building skills, advancing careers, and growing businesses. Today, Mercy Corps continues to work with local partners to deliver life-saving aid and strengthen long-term resilience for Palestinian communities.
